Renegade_of_funk pokusaj recenzije Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Igra dobija 4/5

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Eurogamer recenzija

It's consistently satisfying over long periods, fulfilling its usual role of dominating a willing crowd's evening into the early hours, and now allowing you to sustain that after everyone's gone home using the Internet. Really the only reason you wouldn't feel that way would be if you didn't stick with it past the dizzying first quarter of an hour, or if you don't like Nintendo characters - and if you don't in either case then you probably aren't reading this anyway, and the prospect of Triforce-smashing your friends to death won't mean anything. Otherwise, persist, and enrich yourself, and wonder where on earth it all goes next.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Nintendojo recenzija

Of course, the big new thing is that you can now Smash it out online. As this is Nintendo's first major online outing, it's a mixed affair. The evil Friend Codes are here to stay, but once you're over it, you and up to three of your Friends can Brawl it up with the rules of your choosing (loser's pick). Multiple players can be on the same Wii, or each can play on his own. Much like Mario Kart DS, you each get to select a stage, and the stage that will be played is selected at random from those chosen. As an added bonus, you get to write four short messages that will be displayed when you taunt your buddies.

Super Smash Bros Brawl brdo recenzija :)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is, no doubt, one of the most anticipated games of the year. The two previous installments of the series sold like peanuts at a baseball stadium. The original Super Smash Bros. came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999 and managed to sell almost five million copies worldwide, becoming the fifth best-selling game for the console. 2001 brought us Super Smash Bros. Melee to the GameCube and quickly became the best-selling game for the cool, purple lunch-box, with over six million copies sold. After playing Brawl, I wouldn't be surprised to see it double its numbers; it's truly a significant upgrade for the franchise in several ways.

While the standard multiplayer battle mode remains the crux of Smash Bros. Brawl, a new campaign mode has been added, and it definitely adds value for when you don't have friends around to play. The solo mode consists of unique 2D side-scrolling levels filled with basic baddies. Each level starts and ends with a cool cutscene, telling the story of how that given Nintendo character arrived on the scene, and then you play through with that character (or characters) until you reach the exit or a boss fight. It's pretty basic side-scrolling stuff, nothing more complex than you'd find in Mega Man 2, for example, but it's still fun and the cutscenes are great, so the six hours it takes to beat should be enjoyed by most. As an extra bonus, beating the solo mode unlocks most of the characters for play in multiplayer, and you can even take on the campaign in co-op, if that's your bag, so really the choice is yours once again.

Why do people love these games so much? At their heart, the Smash Bros. titles are merely Nintendo characters beating the pulp out of each other in stages inspired by the characters' games. The idea of health was changed from more standard fighting games, however, in Smash Bros. instead of "dying" after a character loses all its health bar, each hit causes the percentage of damage to rise, and the more damage a character has taken, the easier it is to knock it out of the ring.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - GamesRadar recenzija

...we have to go with a 10. It's Wii's equivalent of Halo 3, a sequel that didn't change much at the core, but piled so much extra content on top that you'd be a damn fool to pass it up. It'll outlast Twilight Princess, it'll outsell Mario Galaxy and it'll most likely stay tucked inside your Wii for untold months to come (at least until Mario Kart comes out). Brawl is not perfect, but we don't award half points - we go 9 or 10, and the former is simply too low.

I have never seen more effort put into a video game than what has been shown in Brawl. With unbelievable multiplayer fighting, an enormous single player mode, and collectibles that will last for years, there's no reason why you shouldn't buy it.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - IGN review

You will play the game to death when you get it. But unlike so many single-player hits, Metroid and Mario included, you will still be playing and consequently loving Brawl in the months and years to come. It is one of the great multiplayer titles of the generation and simply not to be missed.

Nintendo love spills from every pore and the multiplayer can't be beat, but Smash Bros risks growing too familiar. It never breeds contempt, but it doesn't quite muster that Galaxy magic.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - recenzija

For those Smash Bros newbies among you, the idea is to take four Nintendo franchise characters, put them on 2D playing field and have them beat the living snot out of each other. As opposed to most fighting games which require a knockout; to score a point here you’ll need to clock your enemies with a smash move big enough to send them careening off the edge of the screen to their doom. Death by humiliating ring out - ain’t no way for no mascot to die, man.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Nintendo Power 10/10

"I'm ecstatic to report... that Brawl isn't just amazing, and it isn't just one of the best titles on Wii, but it's one of the very best games that Nintendo has ever produced."

The single biggest new addition to Brawl is The Subspace Emissary, a vastly expanded adventure mode that by itself is well worth the price of admission. Just imagine if you'd never heard of the Smash series, but someone told you that nintendo made a side-scrolling action/adventure game starring all of its top characters-you'd flip out, right? And to think, Brawl throws it in as a bonus! I can't stress enough that this mode isn't some fluffed-out afterthought- it's packed with loads of enemies and stage types, offers incredible boss battles, supports two-player co-op, and has lots of classic Nintendo references for long-time fans to geek out over. The cinema scenes are gorgeous and contain a long list of cool and funny moments, and I'm pretty sure that Brawl has more cinemas than all other Nintendo games ever made combined. The Subspace Emissary takes longer than many top stand-alone action games to finish, and even more play value can be found in clearing each stage on harder difficulties."

It's a testmament to the talent of the developers that I even enjoy playing as Diddy Kong- I've always hated that guy."

The game's control feels smoother than Melee's; you're less likely to accidentally jerk a quick character off a ledge. And, being the type of Melee player that never totally clicked with pressing up on the analog stick to jump, the game plays much better for me now that Brawl has the option to make jumps button-only"

Maybe, if I set my mind to it, I could scrounge up some negative things to say about the game, some details that could've used a tiny bit more polish. But against the grand scope of how much Brawl does amazingly well, any other possible concerns would be trivial at best. To deny this game a 10 purely for the sake of shying away from the top of our review scale would be a shameful disservice to one of the greatest gaming achievements in years. Rarely has any title delivered so much amazing action, such a wide variety of modes, and so many hours of value. It doesn't get any better than this"

Super Smash Bros Brawl - od A do Z

W is for...Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is, without question, the single greatest thing that's ever happened to the series. Not only will we be able to play people across the world, we can share video footage and photographs, and watch other matches.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Zentendo Hands-on preview

The game is gorgeous, horrible compressed footage on video sharing sites simply do not do this game any justice at all. The music is simply the greatest single game soundtrack ever. Maybe a little unfair as its really just a best of compilation and remixes of many classic games, but the sheer amount and quality of the music is staggering. As soon as the game is loaded a crystal clear reason for the delay and/or shortages becomes immediately apparent. Besides the please-do-not-hit-fellow-gamers warning, there is a message detailing that the game may glitch and freeze during gameplay and to simply press the restart button. As strange as it sounds, Nintendo has released a game prone to freezing glitches. The reason is simpler then you might think. This is the first Dual Layered DVD Wii game. Simply inspecting the bottom of the disc reveals that. This means that the game is somewhere in the neighborhood of 7.5 GB of data. To put this in perspective, Twilight Princess was 1.5 GB of data or less. So as you can imagine there is a quite a lot more going on in this game then the average Wii disc.
