As ever, Mario Kart racing is as much about navigating the crazy tracks (of which the Wii version has an astonishing 32) as it is about collecting the items that lay about the track and using them on your opponents to screw up their driving. Also as ever, if you are a skilled racer and sail into first place, you'll never get any good items -- just some measly shells and banana peels. Drivers who end up in the back will get all kinds of crazy stuff, allowing them to plow through other players and catch up to the pack.

Nintendo has succeeded in creating a game that new and old players can enjoy equally, and one that I find myself jonesing for even after an entire weekend absorbed in it. If that's not a sign of a good game, I don't know what is.

Despite the fact that the basics of the game have remained nearly identical to the title that we fell in love with 15 years ago — we’re still tossing turtle shells and shouting when we slip on banana peels — it’s hard not to recommend Mario Kart Wii to anyone who owns a Wii. The short version of this review is "Yeah, it’s Mario Kart ... on the Wii," and for many, that should be enough.

The Mario Kart series has taken a bold new direction with this sixth installment, whether for the better or worse is yet to be decided. After-all every Mario Kart game has brought something new to the mix and while not all persist through to the next generation I imagine more than a few from this one will become a staple in the series, from the addition of the bikes to the expanded racer count. Disregarding the painful A.I rubber-banding and the bizarre changes to the Battle Mode Mario Kart Wii is a solid product that once again holds firm Nintendo’s philosophy that core gamer and non gamer can play nice.

Mario Kart Wii is a complete game. Of course, the addition of the online mode makes this title a keeper and a must have title for your Wii collection but for unconditional local multiplayer lovers, the offline mode has also received some upgrades and tweaks. My favorite is the ability to customize my race tracks in Local Multiplayer in order to make them more simple, fun or complex depending on how I want to race with my friends. There are limitations (Item Editor Nintendo?) but I could care less…for the moment!

Well, there’s no doubt about it, Nintendo have done exactly what they said they would, taken an old classic, and updated it without it losing its roots. Yes, this is Mario Kart, may be not at the top of its game, but it is most definitely Mario Kart, and that’s what you wanted to know wasn’t it? You just wanted to know if it had the necessary to deserve the name of such a venerable franchise, and trust me, if you like Mario Kart, you will not be disappointed, it may have it’s faults, but it more than makes up for them in other areas.

Inace Mario Kart je totalno rasprodat u Evropi pa se sada moze naci jedino na E-Bay-u za "samo" 101 euro.

The package as a whole works well, not because of the packed in wheel, not because of the new content and innovation, but because Nintendo have proved that they understand what it is that makes this series great - the balance between racing and fighting. After submerging the racing beneath a torrent of battling features in Double-Dash, here we see its re-emergence. It may require a little tweaking of settings (as discussed above) but sure enough - the heart of a big boy racing game is still beating beneath it all. Something that has always secretly been the power behind this kiddie styled racer.

Mario Kart igra je počela svoju karijeru za vreme SNES konzole. Otad se proslavila i pojavljuje se na svakoj Nintendovoj konzoli. Najpopularnija verzija je ona za DS i N64, ova poslednja se pojavila u ponudi Virtual Console igara.
Osim kart “kolica” ovaj put možete da vozite i motorcikle. Igra nudi 4 moda igranja. Grand Prix, Time Trial, Versus i Battle. U Grand Prix modu ćete osvajati kupove, i otključavati nove karaktere i vozila. Moći ćete voziti trke u kategoriji od 50, 100 i 150 kubika. U svakoj kategoriji ćete imati 8 kupova, a nakon pobede u njima (ili postizanju extra rezultata u nekim trkama) dobijaćete extra vozila i likove.Time trial služi da uvežbate posebnu stazu i trkate za najbolje vreme, a takođe i protiv samog sebe u oblik providnog duha. Versus je multiplayer mod, da igrate protiv drugara, ali bez kompjuterski vođenih likova. Battle nije trkački mod, već ćete ili sakupljati novčiće ili bušiti balone protivničkom timu.
Jedna od karakteristika Mario Kart serijala su i bonusi koji skupljate sa table u obliku kuckaste kutije. Većina je iz prethodnih delova , ali ima i par potpuno novih. Mini turbo ćete u ovoj igri postići dugim draftovanjem (klizanje u krivini), dok sa motorom dobijate ubrzanje i kad ga dignete na zadnji točak. Mada je motor nestabilniji (lakše vas izbace) , mnogo je agilniji na stazi i lakše se zaobilaze prepreke i zamke sa njim.
Posebna priča je igranje online ove igre. Ako ste priključili vaš Wii na internet, grehota bi bilo ne probati ovaj mod. Možete igrati i protiv nepoznatih ljudi kao i protiv/sa drugarima. Drugare (sa kojima morate izmeniti Friend Code-ove) možete izazvati sa vašim Time Trial rezultatima, a možete kreirati i “chat room” u kojoj ćete se sa spremljenim izrazima (da ne morate da kucate ) komunicirati. Protiv drugara se možete oprobati i u nekom vašem kup-u koji kreirate (bez ostalih vozača), ali takođe ako utvdite njihovu prisutnost u nekim trkama da im se pridružite i takmičite protiv ostalih online igrača (što i preporučujem).
Mario Kart možete igrati sa svim mogućim kontrolerima, jedino sa GameCube i Classic kontrolerom ćete biti hendikepirani za neke poteze (dizanje motocikla na zadnje točkove). Uz igru dolazi i plastično kućište za Wiimote u obliku volana, ali u nedostatku toga (ili manjku , recimo za multiplayer mod) možete skoknuti do najbliže Game-s prodavnice, gde su najpovoljniji volani za Wii (599,00 din).

The single player modes can keep you going after the first day thanks to the fun CPU/bot players to go up against and the great variety in courses the Cups and Battle setups have, with characters and modes with many favorites from classic Mario Kart games returning. But as with any Mario Kart game, single player is great, but the game always becomes more fun and competitive in multiplayer!
