Soul Calibur Legends - Gamespot preview

We recently had the chance to get look at Namco Bandai's upcoming Soul Calibur Legends. The recently announced adventure game for the Wii is set in the Soul Calibur universe and follows familiar face Siegfried as he adventures in the 16th century. Though we weren't able to play the game ourselves we got a demo of the action from Namco reps who were showing off a snippet of the game that included a look at both the single and multiplayer modes.

Resident Evil 4 - Wii edition review
If you loved Resident Evil 4 then, you’ll love it even more now. If you didn’t love Resident Evil 4 then, chances are, this may make you change your mind (unless your dislike for the game had nothing to do with the controls). This is, undoubtedly, the best version of Resident Evil 4 available, although admittedly, that title’s rather easily earned, considering its only competition comes from 2 last-gen consoles and a lame-ass, half-baked, embarrassing PC port. With that said though, the graphics still look good and the story, though not as engaging as Metal Gear Solid or creepy as Silent Hill, still makes a great B-movie (that’s “B” as in, “2nd rate”, not “B” as in “Blue” - just in case you were wondering if Ada did anything that would make the Dead of Alive girls blush. Sorry, she doesn’t). Most importantly, the controls are beyond excellent and easily the best proof that Nintendo’s insistence on going “alternative” with their latest console was the right one. With games like Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, the Wiimote could yet prove to be Nintendo’s ace card as it attempts to prove it could yet be the console of choice for traditional, action-oriented gamers.

Mario Strikers Charged - aussie-nintendo review (8.5)

Mario Strikers Charged Football is a title developed by Next Level Games in partnership with Nintendo and is best described as "Arcade-Style Soccer". Unlike other Mario Sports games though, this takes a much grittier and more violent tone. There is no friendly hit of tennis or golf, or even a happy game of baseball with all those Piantas. This is football and your players will be electrocuted, blown up, blown away, hit by cows, run over by giant eggs and vaporised by lasers; and after all that, they’ll probably lose by ten goals. So if you like your soccer realistic, this probably isn’t for you.

Pokemon Battle Revolution impressions
As we have all found out from screenshots and footage, this game is arguably the best looking Wii software yet. Nintendo struck the perfect balance between realism and the series' trademark animation style with the Pokemon and the people. The only way thy could've possibly made anything look better would be to abandon Pokemon's cartoony look.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Wii) - 1up review
The moment Nintendo announced the Wii, there were two no-brainers: lightsabers and Harry Potter. We're still waiting for the former, but Electronic Arts has delivered on the latter with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth game entry in author J.K. Rowling's nearly complete series. Sure, the game's available on almost every platform you can think of -- PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP, PC, and Game Boy Advance, to be exact -- but Wii's where the action's at.

Obscure 2 - preview
Obscure II takes place approximately two years after the events of its progenitor. The students are no longer in high school, obviously (though in the case of lovable rapper-type moron "Stan", that comes as something of a surprise). Yes, our heroes have moved on up into the ranks of collegiate life where they are trying to survive such perils of advanced intellectual pursuit as "keggers" and "take back the night" rallies ("waaah…he said I was hot, and I didn’t want him to!" ) Yes, children, the sheer terror of that alone is enough to elicit night sweats in even the most courageous among us…but there’s more!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - novi info !!!
- First level - You are attacked on a spaceship while meeting with the ship’s captain…action packed
- Play feels motion controls work better than dual joystick
- Super sensitive pointer in “advanced” mode
- Beam stacking ala Super Metroid
- Visor switch: Hold minus and flick Wiimote in certain directions
- Boss fight with Ridley at the end of the first level. Excellent difficulty curve by the time you reach the boss.
- Back tracking in MP3:C makes more sense than in previous Primes
- Extra development time was to give the game more polish. Nintendo wanted “Twilight Princess” levels of polish. Game is focused on Metroid fans and hardcore gamers, but still accessible to newcomers due to controls.
- Second level - floating city focused on exploration
- Larger environments, bloom lighting, better textures than Prime 2
- Corruption Mode not available in demo
- Play says it could be the biggest revolution in FPS gaming since Halo.

No More Heroes - 1up preview
Overall, it's a far more brutal, visceral approach to sword combat than we've seen in the past. "The Wii is an entirely new device and requires a completely new approach to game design," says Suda. "You can't take your past experiences into a Wii game and pray they work just as well as before."

Dragon Blade : Wrath of Fire - preview
![]()
As the warrior moves through the game he gains dragon powers, like a pair of dragon claws which requires the player to attack with both the nunchuck and remote. Later the hero gains a sword whip called a dragon tail, a fire breathing dragon head and wings to fly around with. Each of these attacks are motion controlled, the dragon head shoots fireballs depending where you point the remote and you can do “ground pounds” with both hands when using the claws.

Dragon Blade : Wrath of Fire
![]()
Shown off for the first time at D3 Publisher's pre-E3 show last week, Dragon Blade is a Wii-exclusive action adventure game that promises to make full use of its system exclusivity. It may not be as deep as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but the game is showing tremendous promise even in its alpha stage.
