Shigeru Miyamoto - intervju

Level Up: There were a lot of Nintendo fans that were expecting--or hoping, rather--that something new would be announced during your talk at GDC. Instead, it was more of a look back, at how you got to where you are today as a designer. Why did you decide to make that the focus of your talk, rather than get into something new? Is it because of the secondary stock offering, or were there other reasons why you chose to look back?
Shigeru Miyamoto: Well it's true that because of the secondary stock offering that we're in a quiet period and can't announce any new information right now, but that's not the reason that I decided to do more of a look at how things have changed over the years. Part of the reason I gave the speech I did is that for the last seven years, we've talked a lot about the expanded user base, the problems with the game industry shrinking in Japan, the potential for that to happen here in the U.S., but it's been a lot of talking about it on the surface and not really getting into the meat of the subject. We never really up until now had a sense of how to turn what we saw [as] the solutions to those problems into reality. We finally with the DS were able to achieve that and see the changes that we've been seeing in the market. This time, I really wanted to take the experiences I've had with the DS and the Wii and try to share some of the understanding that I've gained with others....

WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 (Wii)

IGN Hands-ON
"From what we saw, the developers have a solid understanding of how to translate Wii motion into direct gameplay. Actions such as kicking, submissions, using specials, throwing a competitor into the ropes, leaving the ring, or using weapons weren't demonstrated, and it seemed that the majority of Wii control came from the Wii remote itself and not the nunchuk. The game looks to be in its initial "proof of concept" phase, so it's possible that there's no interface, character select, or actual end to the match demo even in place, so a more in-depth synopsis of the motion control will have to wait. Still, from what we saw today there's definite potential in SmackDown vs. Raw 2008."

Wii modchip u Beogradu

Kororinpa - 1up review
"You simply navigate a marble through each 3D puzzle, tilting your Wii Remote to move the board and collect all the gems en route to the exit. It sounds easy, and it even looks easy, but Marble Mania has teeth. It often requires a steady hand and quick reflexes, as well as on-the-spot puzzle-solving skills."

Impossible Mission

"What are you going to be doing with the Wii version?
It was intended to be a download game. The problem is that Nintendo haven't opened that yet up outside of their own games which are Virtual Console. For the Wii version, there's not going to be any frills or anything explicit that's pushing the title, it's designed to faithfully reproduce the original. Our intention was always for it to be the first third-party game that was downloadable. They still haven't worked out their strategy in terms of what to do with billable content from third-parties. We were told it was going to happen by March..."

Mario i Sonic na Olimpijadi!

"In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, players will compete in events that take place in environments based on the official venues of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Using a supporting cast of characters from the amazing worlds of both Mario and Sonic, gamers will be able to compete as or against a range of lovable personalities including Mario, Sonic, Luigi™, Knuckles™, Yoshi®, Tails™ and more. Innovative usage of the Wii and DS control systems to maneuver a favourite character will allow players to race the likes of Mario and Sonic down the 100m track, engage in exhilarating rallies in table tennis and churn water in a swimming heat, all while competing for the much sought after gold medal."

Medal of Honor Vanguard - review

...EA has implemented some control features that feel intuitive. When you aren't directly moving Keegan, but are instead aiming his weapon, Vanguard is the better game. We're referring to the title's sights mode - scoped-in gunplay, in other words. There's a lot of it, it looks good and it feels good...

Guitar Hero - Wii
![]()
Ngamer je objavio da Guitar Hero izlazi za Wii.
“Cult rhythm game Guitar Hero is on its way to Wii. It comes with a guitar-shaped controller and plays convincingly enough to make you think you’re making real music. Hopefully we’ll get the actual guitar, and not a pretend remote/nunchuk version.”

Hands-On: MySims (Wii) - Wired

...Building a house is, again, quite simple. Using the analog stick on the nunchuk to rotate and zoom, then using the directional pad on the Wiimote to rotate the pieces you're using, is as natural and simple an interface as I've ever gotten out of a 3D object builder. I wasn't fighting with it, I was just building my house...
